May I introduce myself. My name is Martin. I life in Lower Austria and do not speak any french![]()

I just recently bought a Simar C51 in a not to bad condition.. I hope to get it to run soon... The engine is turning free and there is some compression.....
I have some questions concerning some parts (sorry for asking directly..)
1) how is the starting belt looking like? The previous owner was always starting it with a drilling machine and a modified nut / 1/2" extention..What are the dimentions? what is the material? Is there any hook/clip at the end to fix it on the rotary mass? A photo or a drawing would be very helpfull
2) 2 row of ?teeth? at the rototiller is missing. Where can these parts be purchased? Are any on the market available fitting?
3) What is the original RAL color codes for the Simar? RAL 6000 for the body? RAL 3000 for the wheels? Was the air intake in black or the color of the body?
4) Are the some steel wheels available somewhere?
5) I would like to build or buy(more a deam than possible..) a "cariot de traction". Does someone have a cart to take the dimensions? where is the connection point to the Simar?
So... a lot of questions for a new member... Thank you for any response..

3) Quels sont les codes RAL des couleurs des Simar? RAL 6000 pour le corps? RAL 3000 pour les roues? La tubulure d'admission est-elle noire ou de la couleur du corps?
4) Y a-t-il des roues de fer disponibles quelque part?
5) J'aimerais construire ou acheter (plus un rêve qu'une possibilité...) un "chariot de traction" Quelqu'un a-t-il un tel chariot pour prendre les dimensions? Où se trouve le point d'attelage au Simar?

Some of us have Simar C51 and certainly they will be able to answer to some questions.
About missing tines in the miller, you may ask M. Oberholzer (in Switzerland) for them (adress in the website).
We have no information about the RAL colour code for Simar paintings.
In 2009, some of us met M. Dufour (photo on the historical website page) who was the last historical owner and engineer of the factory. Questions about paintings colours really made him laugh!
One of us, Bruno, uses to analyse (by scan) the colours on Simar rototillers to have the very same colour.
I think the intake is black, metal colour.
You may find metal second hand wheels in France or Switzerland classified advertisements websites.
About the cariot, at the moment, no answer and it's time to eat!

We tried to start the decive, but no success. So we took off the cylinder head and found the piston in a not so good shape..

The cylinder and the piston have to be serviced (replaced). Has anybody an idea where a oversized piston could be found?

super - I figured out how the upload is working...As you can see from the 2nd picture the piston has seen better days. It is somhow loose in the cylinder...
Comme vous pouvez le voir, le piston a connu des jours meilleurs. Il a quelque jeu dans le cylindre...
